How Three Friends Turned a Tampa Weekend Into a Mentalism Show

Our client, who was planning a weekend in Tampa with two longtime friends, used Tampa Magicians by See Magic Live to amaze them with a private mentalism show, and we’re sharing how the afternoon came together.

What guests saw

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, our mentalist Meraux Dantes arrived at a rented home in Tampa’s Beach Park neighborhood for a mentalism show for three friends.

Our client kept the show a surprise from the other two. Meraux told us they were surprised, in a good way, when they learned a mentalist had come to spend time with them. He performed mind reading and psychic-style demonstrations right in front of them. By the end, Meraux said, the group was asking to know more and told him they wished he could stay longer.

Afterward, our client wrote, “Meraux was fantastic!! 5 stars. Incredible energy and transformed our weekend.”

How we prepared

Our client’s request came in through our Tampa site on a Monday afternoon, and we replied within 10 minutes. We interviewed him to learn about his guests and what he wanted them to experience: three friends around 40, a relaxed weekend together, and a shared taste for intellectual entertainment. He asked for a mentalist with a “psychic” style, and he had three possible dates.

We recommended Meraux because mentalism is his specialty. His close-up performances center on mind reading, he has been featured in The New York Times and on ABC’s The Chew, and he performs four days a week at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. He is also known for the warmth he brings to each guest, which suited a small group spending the afternoon together.

Before the show, we briefed Meraux that two of the three guests didn’t know he was coming and that the group enjoys material that makes them think.
