How MetroLagoons Amazed Families at Its Tampa Bay Halloween Show

Our client MetroLagoons used Tampa Magicians by See Magic Live to amaze guests at a Halloween magic show at Southshore Bay Lagoon in Wimauma, and we’re sharing how the night came together.

What guests saw

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, residents and guests gathered at The Hub at Southshore Bay Lagoon for a Halloween-themed group magic show by our magician Terry Ward. MetroLagoons told us about 40 to 50 guests came out, and many of them were families with kids.

Terry’s show is built on comedy and audience participation, and the MetroLagoons team described it as “super interactive” and said the guests were happy. For a community event, getting residents to come out is a big part of the goal, and our contact at MetroLagoons told us they loved that the show drew people out. In a follow-up note, they wrote, “Everything was lovely and our guests appreciated it!”

How we prepared

MetroLagoons has booked magicians through us since early 2025 for shows at several of its lagoons. For this Halloween show, we interviewed the team to learn what we needed to know: a 45- to 60-minute group show with a Halloween theme, an audience made up mostly of families in casual clothes and swimwear, and a few possible Saturdays in October.

We recommended Terry for this audience. He has performed more than 40,000 shows, most of them for Disney guests, including six years headlining the Diamond Horseshoe Revue at Magic Kingdom and performances aboard Disney Cruise Line. Families at a resort-style lagoon are much like the crowds he has spent his career entertaining.

Some of our clients like a different magician each time, and others like to bring back a performer their guests already know. MetroLagoons has done both across its lagoons. For this Halloween show, they brought back Terry, who performed at Southshore Bay in 2025 and at their Mirada Lagoon in June.
